במחקר זה נוטר המגוון הביולוגי של צמחים פורחים ושל פרוקי-רגליים בכרמי יין בגליל העליון, ובשטחים טבעיים הצמודים אליהם. מטרות המחקר היו: ללמוד על יחסי הגומלין בין בתי גידול טבעיים וחקלאיים סמוכים באמצעות השוואה של שפע והרכב מינים הנמצאים בהם; לבחון את מגוון המינים בבית הגידול החקלאי תחת שני ממשקי הדברת מזיקים.

המחקר בחן כיצד משפיע גידול צמחי צוף בשולי כרמים: (1) על השפע ועל המגוון של פרזיטואידים מקומיים, שהם אויבים טבעיים של הכנימה הקמחית של הגפן; (2) על השפע ועל המגוון של עכבישים, שהם טורפים כוללניים במערכות חקלאיות; (3) על שיעורי הטפילות על הכנימה הקמחית; (4) על גודל האוכלוסייה של הכנימה הקמחית.

The present study compares activity-densities and species richness of spiders in two dominant habitat types in the arid agroecosystem in the northwest Negev Desert- Intensively cultivated arable land and semi-desert.

It was studied whether the spider fauna in desert crops is influenced by the surrounding landscape in a similar way to that found in temperate climates.

Crop fields can harbor large populations of agrobionts, which may spill over into nearby semi-desert. they tested the influence of percentage area of agricultural fields on spider assemblages in semi-desert habitat of agroecosystems in the northwestern Negev desert, Israel.
