Biological Control
2013
Our ability to improve biological control of insect pests depends on our understanding of factors that limit the reproductive success of their natural enemies in the field. Pest control by parasitoids in agricultural fields can be compromised by the availability of sugar resources. We studied sugar availability for Anagrus parasitoids that parasitize the eggs of leafhopper pests (genus Erythroneura) in vineyards in northern California.
Journal of Arachnology
2008
The present study compares activity-densities and species richness of spiders in two dominant habitat types in the arid agroecosystem in the northwest Negev Desert- Intensively cultivated arable land and semi-desert.
The Journal of Arachnology
2017
It was asked- to what extent do predators use non-crop habitats as refuges or breeding sites in the desert agroecosystem of the northern Negev, Israel? thet investigated the use of natural desert habitat, planted trees (Eucalyptus), and a summer crop (sunflowers) by winter-wheat inhabiting spiders.
Ecology
2013
Debates on the relative importance of different factors in limiting the realized fitness of insect parasitoids and herbivores have continued for decades. We used a novel technique to estimate lifetime reproductive success in two Anagrus spp. parasitoids, whose hosts are eggs of leafhoppers that feed on grape leaves.
Journal of environmental quality
2004
The overall objective of the present study was to determine the loading limits of composts that should be applied annually to irrigated wheat.
Agriculture, ecosystems & environmen
2010
It was studied whether the spider fauna in desert crops is influenced by the surrounding landscape in a similar way to that found in temperate climates.

2014
Complementarity between species in the use of flower resources can enhance the pollination services of diverse pollinator communities. To test for complementarity, they studied fine-scale patterns of flower visitation and contribution to seed set of the three locally dominant bee species, visiting confection, sunflower in central Israel.
Agriculture, ecosystems & environment
2010
Crop fields can harbor large populations of agrobionts, which may spill over into nearby semi-desert. they tested the influence of percentage area of agricultural fields on spider assemblages in semi-desert habitat of agroecosystems in the northwestern Negev desert, Israel.
