Our ability to improve biological control of insect pests depends on our understanding of factors that limit the reproductive success of their natural enemies in the field. Pest control by parasitoids in agricultural fields can be compromised by the availability of sugar resources. We studied sugar availability for Anagrus parasitoids that parasitize the eggs of leafhopper pests (genus Erythroneura) in vineyards in northern California.

The present study compares activity-densities and species richness of spiders in two dominant habitat types in the arid agroecosystem in the northwest Negev Desert- Intensively cultivated arable land and semi-desert.

It was asked- to what extent do predators use non-crop habitats as refuges or breeding sites in the desert agroecosystem of the northern Negev, Israel? thet investigated the use of natural desert habitat, planted trees (Eucalyptus), and a summer crop (sunflowers) by winter-wheat inhabiting spiders.
